Job description
The Network Administrator is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining complex network systems, including switches, routers, firewalls, voice platforms, emergency communications, and systems supporting security and access control. Provides technical leadership to network technicians and assigns and reviews their work. The position manages wired, wireless, and cellular networks; monitors performance; assists with capacity planning and optimization; and develops troubleshooting procedures. Additional responsibilities include administering network management tools, applying patches and hardware updates, and ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High school diploma, GED or equivalent and eight (8) years of experience in the field related to the position., Associateās degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related discipline and six (6) years of experience in the field related to the position., Bachelorās degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline and four (4) years of experience in the field related to the position., Masterās degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, a related discipline and two (2) years of experience in the field related to the position
Valid State of Alaska Driverās License with satisfactory driving record at time of hire.
Satisfactory Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) background check within 30 days of hire

HOURS OF WORK: Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
