Job description

Our client seeks a Lead Software Engineer to guide solution design for complex features, drive UI modernization, and mentor engineers for predictable delivery. The platform powers program configuration, offers, integrations, and insights for enterprise loyalty clients. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership across UI, APIs, data flows, and integrations, with pragmatic use of AI-assisted development tools., * Lead solution design for cross-cutting features across UI, APIs, data flows, and integrations.

  • Drive UI modernization with React or Next.js with a focus on usability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Architect and deliver scalable backend services and event-driven integrations as needed.
  • Partner with Product to shape requirements into epics or PRTs, estimate work, and sequence delivery.
  • Raise engineering quality through reviews, testing strategy, observability, security, and operational readiness.
  • Mentor engineers and support execution leads or deputies. Use AI-assisted tools pragmatically.

Requirements

  • 8+ years building large-scale production applications.
  • Strong modern frontend experience plus backend and API depth.
  • Microservices and robust REST API design experience.
  • Experience with event-driven or messaging concepts and databases.
  • CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code experience is a plus.
  • Comfort using AI-assisted development tools. No AI specialization required.
  • Preferred: experience building partner-facing integrations such as SDKs, webhooks, or event streams.
  • Preferred: experience building reusable UI components and design systems.

Rate: $70.00 to $80.00/hr. w2, Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.

W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, other voluntary benefits including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.
