Job description

  • Agile Facilitation: Lead all Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, and Sprint Retrospectives.
  • SAP Environment Coordination: Manage dependencies specific to SAP environments, aligning sprint goals with SAP transport schedules, regression testing, and system cutover activities.
  • Blocker Removal: Proactively identify, track, and eliminate impediments that prevent the development and functional teams from achieving their sprint commitments.
  • Team Coaching: Coach cross-functional team members (Functional Consultants, ABAP Developers, and Business Analysts) on Agile principles, shifting mindsets from traditional Waterfall to iterative delivery.
  • Backlog Management Support: Partner with the SAP Product Owner to maintain a healthy, prioritized, and well-estimated product backlog, ensuring technical debt and system maintenance are balanced with new features.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Track and communicate Agile metrics (such as team velocity, burn-down charts, and capacity planning) to project leadership to support predictable forecasting.

We are seeking an experienced SAP Scrum Master to facilitate, coach, and drive Agile delivery within our SAP application management and implementation teams. In this role, you will bridge the gap between classic SAP landscape management and Agile methodologies. You will be responsible for clearing roadblocks, optimizing sprint velocity, and ensuring the team delivers high-quality SAP solutions that align with business priorities.

  • The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) and a solid understanding of SAP project lifecycles, configuration tracking, and cross-team dependencies., * Experience: 3+ years of experience acting as a dedicated Scrum Master, with at least 1-2 years specifically embedded within SAP implementation, roll-out, or sustainment projects (e.g., S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SuccessFactors).
  • Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II), or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) is highly preferred.
  • SAP Framework Literacy: Strong understanding of how Agile fits into the SAP Activate methodology, including the unique challenges of building, testing, and releasing SAP transports.
  • Tools: Proficiency with Agile management tools, specifically Jira or Azure DevOps, and familiarity with SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) or Focused Build is a major plus.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, conflict-resolution, and negotiation skills. Ability to handle high-pressure deployment timelines with a calm, collaborative approach.
