Software Engineer - Hybrid

This role is for a Java eTrading developer focused on FICC Emerging Markets eTrading deliveries, including algorithm development and strategic framework development. The successful candidate will be involved in creating the next generation eTrading platform for the Emerging Markets business, initially focusing on sovereign bonds and IRS. This position involves all stages of the software development life cycle with daily interaction with traders, quants, and senior stakeholders., * Develop and deliver for the FICC Emerging Markets eTrading platform

• Engage in algorithm and strategic framework development
• Participate in all stages of the software development life cycle
• Interact daily with traders, quants, and senior stakeholders

• Extensive experience of distributed, multi-threaded system development in Java
• Previous eTrading application development experience
• Previous python development experience
• Strong Rates/Fixed Income product knowledge
• Experience with industry standard Continuous Integration and automated testing tools
• Sound knowledge of software engineering design patterns and practices
• Understanding of operational aspects of managing a software stack
• Must be a self-starter willing to work with new technologies in a fast-paced environment

Desired skills:

• Knowledge of electronic venues such as Bloomberg, TradeWeb, MarketAxess
