Job description

As an Analyst II, Business Intelligence / Data Analysis within The People Office (TPO), you will play a key role in advancing FIS’s people analytics capabilities. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build expertise in data visualization, workforce analytics, and modern data platforms.

You will support the development of interactive dashboards, translate HR and business data into actionable insights, and help scale analytics solutions using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric. Working closely with cross-functional partners, you’ll contribute to data-driven decision-making that impacts workforce strategy and organizational performance.

What You Will Do:

  • Build and enhance interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to support workforce and HR analytics.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining data models using modern platforms such as Microsoft Fabric.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and validate data from multiple HR and enterprise systems.
  • Analyze datasets to identify key trends and insights related to workforce metrics (e.g., hiring, attrition, productivity).
  • Support automation of recurring reporting and data processes to improve efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into clear, actionable dashboards.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity, including troubleshooting issues and supporting root-cause analysis.
  • Contribute to documentation of metrics, definitions, and reporting standards.
  • Communicate insights through clear visual storytelling tailored to both technical and business audiences.
  • Continuously learn and apply new tools and capabilities within the Microsoft analytics ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience (including internships/co-op) in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI (report building, basic DAX, data visualization best practices).
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational data concepts.
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn new tools and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Azure, or cloud-based data platforms.
  • Experience working with HR systems (e.g., Workday) or people data.
  • Familiarity with data modeling concepts (e.g., star schemas, fact/dimension design).
  • Experience with ETL/ELT or data transformation processes.
  • Basic understanding of workforce or business performance metrics.
  • Exposure to scripting languages such as Python is a plus.

Benefits & conditions

  • Work on high-impact people analytics initiatives that influence workforce strategy.
  • Gain hands-on experience with leading-edge Microsoft technologies (Power BI, Fabric, Azure).
  • Learn and grow within a collaborative, data-driven team in The People Office.
  • Build a strong foundation in analytics, visualization, and modern data platforms.
