Basic geospatial analysis techniques such as overlay and buffer analysis. Geospatial editing techniques such as erase, divide, minus, and union. Utilizing GNSS-based equipment to capture geospatial data in the field. Subsurface Utility Engineering and Underground Service Alert processes. One or more scripting/programming . Must be enrolled throughout the duration of the internship. Graduate: Completion of a bachelor’s degree and current enrollment in a master’s degree program from an accredited college or university. Licenses & Certificates: Possession of a valid driver’s license authorizing the operation of a motor vehicle in the State of California may be required for some positions. The Environmental Services Department is currently seeking one (1) part-time, unbenefited, undergraduate/graduate student in ASD’s Geographic Information Systems (GIS) group. Duration of Assignment: Approximately 1 year with the possibility to extend. Salary ranges for this classification are: Undergraduate Student : $16.33 - $23.33 hourly Graduate Student : $21.14 - $31.22 hourly These salary ranges include an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation.
