Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and service-oriented IT Specialist to support the daily technology operations of Edgewood Tahoe Resort. This role is responsible for maintaining exceptional IT performance across guest-facing systems, administrative operations, and hospitality technology platforms while delivering white-glove support consistent with Forbes luxury service standards. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with professionalism, discretion, and a hospitality-first mindset. Essential Functions:

  • Ensure continuous availability and optimal performance of mission-critical systems, including Front Office Property Management Systems, High-Speed Internet Access, PABX, and Food & Beverage Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, operating 24/7.
  • Develop implement, and maintain user procedures, technical documentation, and hardware/software training for end users across all supported systems.
  • Perform Systems Administration tasks, including user and group account management, access control configuration, troubleshooting authentication issues, and maintaining accurate on-site technical documentation.
  • Support server infrastructure management through system monitoring, performance optimization, operating system upgrades, patch management, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide technical support for enterprise applications, including back-office systems, sales and catering platforms, human resources applications, and other property-related business systems.
  • Deliver comprehensive IT support services, including outage diagnosis, incident response, troubleshooting, service restoration, and endpoint protection/antivirus management.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational IT standards and best practices, including adherence to Edgewood Core Technology Standards.
  • Participate in property-level and corporate-driven technology deployments, upgrades, migrations, and implementation projects.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of desktop operating systems, enterprise applications, software deployment, updates, and patch management processes.
  • Provide direct technical support to guests, conference rooms, meeting spaces, and event services to ensure seamless technology operations.
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, VPN connectivity, collaboration platforms, and enterprise communication tools.
  • Assist in executing system backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures to ensure data integrity and operational resilience.
  • Provide on-call and 24/7 technical support for mission-critical systems and infrastructure.
  • Support network infrastructure and security operations, including Active Directory administration, server maintenance, wired and wireless network management, firewall administration, web security, failover solutions, and multi-homing technologies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the success of the team and business

Requirements

Do you have experience in Stakeholder relationship building?, * Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • A minimum of 3 years of IT support or systems administration experience.
  • Strong Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 , Network administration, POS and PMS systems, Wi-Fi troubleshooting , Cybersecurity fundamentals.
  • Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in hospitality or resort environments preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to safely lift, move, and stack items weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Able to perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
