Job description

The IT Manager is a hands-on leadership role responsible for running the day-to-day IT operations at Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club. This individual manages a team of 2-3 IT staff and is deeply involved in all aspects of the department - from executing technical work alongside the team to representing IT internally across all resort departments and externally with third-party technology providers and vendor partners. This is an onsite position that requires someone equally comfortable leading people, solving problems in the field, and building strong working relationships at every level of the organization. The IT Manager serves as the primary technology point of contact for department heads and property leadership, and collaborates directly with managed service providers, software vendors, and hardware partners to ensure the resort’s full technology ecosystem runs reliably and efficiently. The ideal candidate brings practical hospitality IT experience, a collaborative leadership style, a service-first mindset, and the confidence to get into the trenches when the situation calls for it. Ensuring compliance with applicable security standards including PCI-DSS and CIS8 Controls is a core responsibility of this role.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

· Manage, motivate, and develop a team of 2-3 IT staff members; set clear expectations, provide ongoing coaching, and foster a team culture rooted in accountability, initiative, and exceptional service to guests and colleagues alike.

· Establish, maintain, and enforce standard operating procedures across all IT functions including systems maintenance, patching, onboarding/offboarding, and workstation lifecycle management. Keep documentation of all resort systems and workflows current and accessible.

· Oversee daily IT operations and systems health; implement monitoring and proactive maintenance routines to detect and resolve issues before they impact guests or resort operations.

· Serve as the primary internal and external technology partner for the resort - representing IT across all departments and collaborating directly with third-party technology providers, managed service partners, and software and hardware vendors. Maintain and support the full resort technology application stack including: PMS, POS, CRM, access controls, CCTV, guest WiFi, phone systems, in-room entertainment, system integrations, and all other resort-associated applications that support daily operations.

· Manage and maintain the resort’s Microsoft 365 environment, including Microsoft Intune, Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams; identify opportunities to improve security posture and maximize value from existing subscriptions.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a Associate’s degree?, · Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience

· Industry certifications (e.g. CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications) are a plus but not required

· Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting technology environments, ideally in a hospitality or service-driven setting

· Prior hospitality IT experience is strongly preferred; hands-on experience with PMS and POS systems is a significant advantage.

· Comprehensive understanding of operating platforms, connectivity, security, and information management

· Deep knowledge of Microsoft Solutions - Microsoft 365, Windows Server (2008 through 2022), Active Directory, DHCP, DNS

· Strong working knowledge of networking technologies including: Fiber Connectivity, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, Firewalls, Basic Routing & Switching

· Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware and Hyper-V

· Experience with SAN & NAS technologies, such as iSCSI, Dell Compellent, Dell EMC Storage, Synology, etc.

· Experience with PCI Data Security Standards in a PCI Level 1 environment

· Experience with planning, implementing, and maintaining highly available systems including Backup, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity solutions in a high paced 24x7 mission-critical environment

· Strong troubleshooting abilities and Root Cause Analysis for any system.

· Proven ability to lead and develop a small IT team; experience managing direct reports in a service or hospitality environment is preferred

· Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to represent IT professionally across all departments and with external vendor partners; confident engaging with property leadership and ownership
