This position will be part of the IT Mill Ops BRM team. The candidate is responsible for leading, supporting and developing the relationship between the ITD solutions & services team(s) and Mill leadership (aka Operations Leadership) to help drive & align ITD services to the business strategy. The right candidate will effectively communicate with multiple business stakeholders and understand their technology needs to better build a more effective digital culture. Collaboration across multiple functional areas will be an integral part of the position to drive a culture of creativity, innovation and values that reflects the business strategy. The candidate must be comfortable managing multiple concurrent tracks of work and have excellent communication and organizational skills. In this role the Lead IT BRM will champion multiple initiatives across the larger IT organization to support Smurfit Westrock goals.
How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:
- Build relationships with key stakeholders in business and IT teams to drive key outcomes, decisions and ensure timely project completion.
- Partner with the business to gain insight into business strategy, annual operating plan, supporting planned business initiatives ensuring enabling IT capabilities are aligned for planning and delivery.
- Develop and maintain IT driven roadmaps for enabling technology capabilities to support approved business-sponsored projects ensuring alignment to IT capacity and strategy.
- Identify opportunities and gaps for technology enablement to improve and grow business operations.
- Conduct monthly/quarterly service level delivery reviews with business stakeholders and identify areas of improvement and mutual support.
- Be the Business Units’ liaison to IT and IT’s voice to the Business Unit to continuously improve and grow the relationship between Business units and IT.
- Function as primary POC for IT services escalations
Requirements
- Bachelor\u2019s degree in a related field such as IT, Business, Technology or Manufacturing etc.
- Certification in BRM and/or Six Sigma Black Belt is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing environment supporting IT and Business needs (Pulp/Paper Industry experience a plus)
- Experience working in technology organizations.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are a must.
- Driving execution & task management skills to manage the work through respective ITD functions.
- Thorough understanding of project management techniques and methods.
- Experience building relationships and communicating with key stakeholders.
- Positive attitude and able to drive to success as an agent of change.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication and presentation skills to work effectively with all levels of management throughout the organization.
- Ability to collaborate and encourage collaboration.
- Ability to positively influence others without direct authority in efforts to move projects forward.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines. Ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects with interrelated teams and technology issues simultaneously with aggressive timelines.
