Job description

We are seeking an experienced Integration & Test Engineer III to support the development, integration, and validation of advanced connectivity and networked systems. In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate, test, troubleshoot, and verify complex hardware and software systems throughout the product lifecycle.

You will play a key role in ensuring product performance, reliability, and compliance through rigorous testing, process development, and cross-functional coordination.

What You’ll Do

Develop, maintain, and improve processes and procedures for the integration, assembly, and testing of complex systems and equipment.

Coordinate integration and test activities with engineering teams, program stakeholders, and customer organizations.

Investigate, document, and resolve hardware discrepancies through root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.

Design and develop test fixtures, tooling, and support equipment to improve integration and testing efficiency.

Execute system-level integration and verification activities for hardware and software components.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues involving electronic, electrical, mechanical, and software systems.

Support qualification, validation, and acceptance testing activities.

Collaborate within Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to achieve program objectives and milestones.

Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and engineering recommendations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related STEM field with 5+ years of relevant experience; OR

Master’s degree in a STEM field with 3+ years of relevant experience; OR

PhD in a STEM field with 1+ year of relevant experience.

Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and systems engineering mindset.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams.

Demonstrated experience troubleshooting hardware and software systems.

Ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances and access authorizations.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in integration and test environments involving complex electronic systems.

Hands-on experience performing: Design Verification Testing (DVT), Environmental Qualification Testing, Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Testing

Working knowledge of requirements management and verification tools, including DOORS and Verification Cross-Reference Matrices (VCRM).

Familiarity with Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) systems, sensors, and optical technologies.

Experience with Model-Based Engineering (MBE) methodologies and tools such as Cameo.

Knowledge of programming and scripting languages such as MATLAB, Python, C, C++, or Java.

Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
