Job description

A Good Secondary School in Colchester is seeking a skilled and proactive IT Technician to join their experienced technical support team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive school environment where technology plays a key role in teaching, learning and day-to-day school operations. The successful candidate will provide first-line and second-line technical support to staff and students across the school. Responsibilities will include troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining IT equipment and supporting classroom technology including interactive displays, laptops and networked devices. You will also assist with device deployment, user account management and maintaining secure and efficient IT systems throughout the school. The role may involve supporting Microsoft 365 systems, printers, network connectivity and safeguarding filtering systems. Strong problem-solving skills, organisation and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users are essential.
