IT Infrastructure & Security Engineer

Fine Lady Bakeries is looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure & Security Engineer to join our IT team supporting a fast-paced 24/7 manufacturing operation.

The role is on site based in Banbury with occasional travel to our Manchester site.

This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining and improving the stability, security, and performance of our core IT infrastructure across the business. You will play a key role in supporting servers, networks, Active Directory, cybersecurity, backups, disaster recovery, and Microsoft 365 services, helping to ensure our operational systems remain secure, reliable, and resilient.

Working closely with operational and engineering teams, you will help support critical production environments where technology directly impacts business performance and customer delivery., * Manage and maintain core IT infrastructure including servers, virtualisation, networking, firewalls, and VPNs

• Support and administer Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 environments
• Lead patch management, monitoring, backups, and disaster recovery processes
• Maintain and improve cybersecurity controls and infrastructure security posture
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and security issues across the business
• Support OT network segmentation and secure production connectivity
• Provide technical escalation support and mentor junior IT team members

Due to the nature of the role, there will be occasional out-of-hours support requirements for critical incidents.

Do you have experience in Virtualization?, * Previous experience in an IT Infrastructure or similar role

• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
• Experience with virtualisation technologies such as Hyper-V
• Strong networking knowledge including switching, VLANs, routing, Wi-Fi, firewalls, and VPNs
• Experience managing backups, disaster recovery, and infrastructure security
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

• Experience working within a manufacturing or 24/7 operational environment
• PowerShell scripting experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure AD
• Experience with Fortinet, monitoring tools, or endpoint security platforms
• Awareness of SQL, reporting, or Power BI environments
