Azure Cloud Ops DR Automation Lead

• Disaster Recovery Strategy Execution
• Lead the design implementation testing and continuous improvement of enterprise Disaster Recovery strategies frameworks and recovery capabilities.
• Drive DR automation initiatives by leveraging Azure native and cloud-based resiliency solutions to improve recovery effectiveness and reduce recovery timelines.
• Ensure successful execution of DR programs across infrastructure applications databases and cloud environments.
• Cloud Resilience Recovery.
• Assess design and improve DR capabilities across cloud platforms with primary focus on Microsoft Azure and secondary exposure to AWS.
• Validate Recovery Time Objectives and Recovery Point Objectives for critical business services.
• Implement and optimize cloud-based backup replication failover and recovery solutions.
• Risk Governance Compliance.
• Conduct and manage Risk and Control Self Assessments to ensure alignment with enterprise risk frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Governance Risk and Compliance teams to address audit findings remediation activities and regulatory obligations.

• Ensure DR and resilience practices comply with industry standards and regulations including. oSOX oGDPR oFFIEC oEnterprise Risk Management Policies

• Testing Validation
• Develop and execute DR test plans failover exercises tabletop simulations and recovery validation activities.
• Lead post-test reviews and root cause analyses to identify opportunities for process and technology improvements.
• Ensure testing outcomes meet audit regulatory and business requirements.
• Stakeholder Program Management.
• Partner closely with the Business Continuity Program Manager to align business continuity and disaster recovery objectives.
• Coordinate cross functional teams across Infrastructure Cloud Security Application and Business units.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for DR governance status reporting and executive communications.
• Present recovery readiness metrics risks and recommendations to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
• Asset Infrastructure Resilience.
• Support DR related processes tied to IT Asset Management Configuration Management and Critical Infrastructure protection.
• Monitor recovery readiness and recommend enhancements based on testing results audit observations emerging risks and industry best practices.

• Experience in Financial Services Insurance or other highly regulated industries.
• Knowledge of Azure Site Recovery Azure Backup and Infrastructure-as-Code automation.
• Experience with PowerShell Terraform Azure DevOps or other automation tools.

Relevant certifications such as

• Microsoft Azure Administrator Architect
• Certified Business Continuity Professional
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional
• Certified Information Security Manager
