Job description

Agensys is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support a critical Air Force enterprise network environment at Joint Base Andrews. This role is responsible for maintaining secure, high-availability network infrastructure supporting Department of Defense operations. The ideal candidate has extensive Cisco networking experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and expertise supporting classified and unclassified enterprise environments., * Monitor enterprise network infrastructure for alarms, outages, and performance issues.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve network hardware, routing, switching, and connectivity issues.
  • Configure, maintain, and support enterprise routers, switches, and network infrastructure.
  • Escalate complex issues when necessary while ensuring timely resolution.
  • Coordinate with vendors during network outages and service interruptions.
  • Process Authorized Service Interruptions (ASIs) in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain network security compliance by implementing STIGs, IOS upgrades, patches, and DoD security requirements.
  • Support enterprise network enhancements, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support operational requirements.
  • Assist with special projects and day-to-day network operations as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Five (5) or more years of experience supporting enterprise network environments.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Security+
  • Current DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification
  • CCNA certification
  • Strong experience with Cisco enterprise networking technologies.
  • Expert knowledge of:

  • LAN switching and VLAN technologies
  • Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching
  • Routing protocols including OSPF, EIGRP, and IS-IS
  • Network troubleshooting in classified and unclassified environments
  • DoD network security hardening requirements

Experience supporting encryption devices and DoD COMSEC processes.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills., * Experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).

  • Experience with Cisco DNA Center.
  • Prior experience supporting Air Force or Department of Defense environments.
  • Familiarity with Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), or Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB) network operations.
