IT Support Specialist

Summary: Under the direction of the of Assistant Executive Director, IT this position is responsible for making repairs and troubleshooting computer applications and hardware problems as required and/or assigned. The incumbent will assure that all related computer service work requests are completed in an efficient and effective manner., The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: verbally communicate with others, maintain a stationary position (standing and sitting), move/traverse, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms for extended periods of time, lift up to 10 lbs, maneuver an occupied wheelchair, (navigate a Hoyer lift and or drive a 6 person passenger van - depending on the position). In order to effectively perform the essential functions of this role, the employee will be required to meet an array of physical demands to include ability to hear and repeat information, take notes, read documents, carry files and or paper materials and other physical duties as directed by your supervisor and/or Director. Agility with wrist and finger dexterity to access, key and sort electronic information or to file documents required.

• Must have an Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and thorough knowledge of a variety of software, hardware and network applications.
• Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software related issues, equipment upgrades and ability to identify appropriate repair/replacement needs regarding assigned projects.

This position requires standing and walking of up to of a given work day along with a daily routine bending and or stooping. Ability to read, write, key information into a computer and to make educated and informed decisions is a requirement for this position.
