Job description

IAM Okta Engineer wanted by American Express Global Business Travel in New York, NY.

What You’ll Do

  • Review and lead the gathering of business, functional and technical requirements for establishing an Okta Identity platform

  • Complete assigned engagement tasks within the project scope and budget, while meeting deliverable requirements

  • Provide hands-on development/coding in Okta

  • Create, update, and maintain metrics and reports showing progress and value of the IAM program

  • Review updates and new features of Okta and make recommendations for implementation to the environment

  • Provide technical leadership and oversight to the IAM team

  • Support the creation of project plans developing and implementing the proposed solution

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently

  • Lead upgrades to the Okta platform

  • Set up and maintain AWS IAM Roles pushed from the Okta environment

  • Work closely with development, infrastructure, and service delivery teams understanding their needs and delivering a cost-effective solution

  • Suggest new functionality as an improvement to the existing Okta platform.

Requirements

Must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation

  • 5 years of experience with overall Identity Access Management

  • 4 years of experience in the development of Okta, including implementation, installation, configuration and administration of various components

  • 4 years of hands-on experience integrating applications with Okta SSO

  • 4 years of hands-on experience migrating legacy header-based applications to modern authentication standards with SAML, OIDC and OAuth

  • 4 years of hands-on experience with OAG implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
