A highly skilled IT professional with expertise in Public Cloud (Azure), Microsoft Windows environments, and LAN/WAN architecture, including SD-WAN, switching, and routing. Adept at operating within industry-standard CSA and NIST security frameworks, this role is instrumental in designing, optimizing, and securing enterprise infrastructure. Infrastructure Engineer has technical experience in Public Cloud, Microsoft Windows, and LAN/WAN switching and routing, all within standard CSA and NIST security frameworks. Role demonstrates a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams. Responsible for rationalizing, optimizing and maintaining the infrastructure environment, fortifying networks, and safeguarding against evolving cybersecurity threats. By proactively mitigating cybersecurity threats and ensuring compliance with best practices, this role serves as a key driver in shaping the organizationās technological future, aligning IT strategy with business objectives while maintaining the highest standards of performance, security, and reliability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support development and execution of a multi-faceted IT infrastructure, network, and cybersecurity strategy that aligns with organizational goals and anticipates future technological advancements.
- Responsible for modernizing and maintaining a resilient IT ecosystem. This includes streamlining Active Directory management, fortifying network security, and leveraging Azure-based solutions to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Understanding of how various business systems can and should communicate to create an integrated set of enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with business leaders to help in their understanding of new technologies and how to better leverage existing systems and applications.
- Continuously assess and optimize infrastructure performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Oversee Active Directory clean-up and maintenance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure resource allocation aligns with business needs and growth objectives.
- Architect and oversee the implementation of a resilient, high-performance network infrastructure.
- Guarantee the integrity and security of network operations by implementing and managing advanced network security measures.
- Support the development and execution of a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy, addressing both current and emerging threats.
- Stay at the forefront of cybersecurity trends, implementing best practices to fortify the organizationās defenses.
- Coordinate with legal and compliance functions as needed to address their requirements with cybersecurity topics and ensure alignment with cybersecurity strategy, response and associated activities.
- Support the development and enforcement of robust IT policies and procedures, conducting regular audits and assessments to uphold a secure and compliant IT environment.
- Adhere to a governance framework to facilitate transparency, accountability, and effective decision-making.
- Deliver best-in-class IT service to internal and external customers of the company.
- Develop, maintain and ensure adherence to best-in-class ITSM standards and processes
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a Masterās degree?, * Strong understanding of business functions and how technology can strategically support those functions.
- Leadership experience in overseeing IT Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and/or Network functions a plus.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- In-depth expertise in cloud computing, virtualization, data center technologies, backup and disaster recovery (DR) solutions, end point management, patch management, and emerging IT trends.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft 365.
- Extensive knowledge of network design, configuration, and optimization.
- Comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.
- Experience with implementing ITSM/ITIL standards and processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communications skills, with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, concise communications.
- Ability to independently prioritize competing initiatives and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional time management skills.
- Experience working with Managed Services Providers (MSPs) for infrastructure, network, and/or security is highly desirable.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure technologies and best practices.
- Strong understanding of SD-WAN technologies.
- Strong will to work with application and integration teams to implement and deploy technologies across the environment.
- Strong understanding of documentation best practices., * Preferred Bachelorās or masterās degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, but not required.
