The Clinical Technical Assistance Lead is responsible for ensuring the clinical accuracy, relevance, and quality of all technical assistance delivered under the program. This individual serves as the clinical subject matter expert and provides leadership for curriculum development, clinical education, Communities of Practice, webinars, and individualized technical assistance activities. The Clinical TA Lead works closely with healthcare organizations and clinical teams to support evidence-based approaches for chronic disease management, workflow optimization, technology adoption, and patient-centered care., The Clinical Technical Assistance Lead will: Clinical Leadership & Content Development Lead the development and review of clinical training materials, toolkits, educational resources, and technical assistance content.Ensure all clinical guidance reflects current evidence-based practices and standards of care.Provide subject matter expertise related to chronic disease management, including hypertension, diabetes, and obesity. Technical Assistance & Provider Engagement Deliver clinical technical assistance through webinars, workshops, Communities of Practice, consultations, and academic detailing activities.Advise clinical teams on integrating innovative care approaches and patient-generated health data into existing workflows.Support healthcare organizations in identifying and implementing best practices that improve care delivery and patient outcomes. Technology-Enabled Care Provide guidance on the clinical use of digital health tools, remote monitoring technologies, wearable devices, and related data sources.Assist organizations in incorporating patient-generated health data into care planning, population health strategies, and clinical decision-making processes.Collaborate with program staff to identify emerging trends and opportunities related to technology-enabled care delivery. Quality & Collaboration Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align clinical content with program objectives and stakeholder needs.Participate in quality assurance reviews to ensure consistency, accuracy, and effectiveness of technical assistance products and services.Support evaluation activities by providing clinical insight into performance measures, outcomes, and lessons learned.
Requirements
Doctoral degree in Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, or a closely related clinical field (MD, DO, DNP, PharmD, or equivalent).A Masterâs degree combined with extensive relevant clinical technical assistance experience may be considered in lieu of a doctoral degree.
Required Experience and Skills:
Minimum seven (7) years of clinical practice or clinical program experience, including direct experience with chronic disease management, specifically hypertension, diabetes, and obesity, in primary care or safety-net settings.Direct experience with Self-Measured Blood Pressure (SMBP), Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) use for Type 2 Diabetes, and incorporation of patient-generated health data from wearable devices into clinical care.Minimum five (5) years of experience providing clinical technical assistance to federally qualified health centers, community health centers, or comparable safety-net providers.Demonstrated experience integrating technology, wearable devices, or patient-generated health data into clinical workflows.Strong written, presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience supporting federally funded healthcare programs or federal health initiatives.Experience working with community-based healthcare organizations serving underserved populations.Familiarity with digital health, remote patient monitoring, virtual care, or healthcare technology implementation.Experience developing clinical education, training programs, or provider-facing technical assistance resources.Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies, population health strategies, and care transformation initiatives.
