Job description

developing the QMS and health and safety systems in our Furniture and Floor coverings business areasResponsibilitiesAs a Systems Co-ordinator, after receiving appropriate training, you will be required to carry out the following:Maintaining and improving record keeping of quality related documentation (i.e. calibration certificates, equipment maintenance records, certificates of conformity, standard reference materials, gap analysis, software validations, spreadsheet validations)Performing calibrations, drift analysis, risk assessments, witnessed assessments and uncertainty of measurement budgets to agreed deadlinesManaging check testing and inter-laboratory trial participationSupporting the Furniture and Floor coverings Business Area Managers with the annual UKAS audit; organising the auditors and taking the lead to organise improvement action evidenceCo-ordinating ISO 17025 accreditation schedule extensions to scope where applicableAssisting with the creation of standard operating

Requirements

proceduresWorking with Health, Safety & Environmental Manager, Head of Furniture and Head of Floorcoverings to ensure H&S matters are in compliance with legal and company requirementsMaintaining personal training and competency recordsPurchasing and verifying standard materialsCompletion of COSHH records where applicableAbout YouSuccessful candidates will be required to have the following:EssentialMinimum of 2 years laboratory experience, or A-levels or equivalent in science based subject or MathematicsHigh accuracy and excellent attention to detailHighly motivated, reliable, flexible approach to working responding to changing deadlines and prioritiesAble to accurately follow instructions and proceduresAble to work independently in an organised mannerGood communication skills, both written and verbalEffective time managementGood computer skills (Microsoft Office)Good teamworking skillsAn understanding of the importance of working to a quality systemProblem solving skillsDesirableExperience in implementing and maintaining quality control/quality management systems such as ISO 17025 or ISO 9001Knowledge or understanding of Health & Safety proceduresAble to learn new skills quicklyCustomer focusedProblem solving experienceFurther education qualificationsBenefits IncludeStaff benefits include 25 28 days (service related) annual leave; life assurance; a group personal pension plan; income protection; free parking.Closing date for receipt of applications is 31st July 2026Interviews will be held on site on 14th August 2026JBRP1_UKTJ
