Job description

  • Assist project teams prior to and during new facility expansions, relocations, retrofits (internal expansions) and the closing down of decommissioned facilities

  • Work with cross functional program manager (PM) on various aspects of the project

  • Meet with the design teams and create facility test fit designs.

  • Engage in material handling vendors and assist in securing bids for the work

  • Lead the various selected team members and keep them on task

  • Oversee onsite tenant improvement progress, which includes fielding any questions raised by the GC and/or the Landlord

  • Oversee the onsite construction of the conveyors, automation equipment, racking and other warehouse equipment (safety)

  • Work with the vendors and address any concerns as they arise

  • Design and implement 5s and other critical layout elements.

  • Oversee the data cabling install and the security infrastructure coincides with the rest of the project plan and address any questions or concerns

  • Ensure project key timelines are met and project stays on track to be completed on time

  • Track all operational costs associated with the project. Report any variances to budget

  • Assist in problem resolution when issues arise in the facilities

  • Responsible for complying with all EHS identified requirements. Including OSHA, Local codes and PB standards

  • Analyze reports - utilize reports to determine any foreseeable issues and improvements

  • Participate in the development of system enhancements - continuous improvement

  • Responsible for staying updated on USPS regulations and rules
  • Open for locations: Bloomington, CA, Monroe, NJ, Dallas, TX, Greenwood, IN, Chicago, IL, Atlanta.Travel up to 75% nationally to PB facilities and vendors as needed

You are:

A Self-motivated Contributor who can take on a project and ensure the end results are realized. You are a Loyal individual who will be on the front lines of the rapid growth PB is experiencing, * Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field

  • Minimum 5 years industrial engineering and network operations experience within the logistics industry, preferably in a small parcel environment
  • Six Sigma certification or similar
  • Proven people management skills and abilities

  • Strong analytical skills and structured problem solving skills.

  • Knowledgeable in USPS rules and regulations

  • Proficient in OSHA standards and Local Codes as it pertains to warehouse layouts and equipment.

  • Expert Knowledge in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint

  • Knowledge in AutoCAD and Visio.

  • Must be a team player with a strong work ethic, as well as excellent people and organizational skills.
