Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Steel Quality Assurance Technician to join our manufacturing team. This vital role involves ensuring the highest standards of quality in steel products through rigorous inspection, testing, and adherence to industry regulations. The successful candidate will play a key part in maintaining quality systems, conducting audits, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment dedicated to excellence in steel production and quality management., * Conduct comprehensive quality inspections of steel components utilizing precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems.

  • Perform regular quality audits in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and other relevant standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including FDA regulations.
  • Utilize advanced measurement tools like coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify dimensional accuracy and tolerances.
  • Collect and analyze data related to manufacturing processes, product specifications, and quality metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Support calibration and maintenance of quality control equipment, including calibration of calipers, micrometers, and vision systems.
  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of quality assurance programs aligned with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) and HACCP principles.
  • Participate in root cause analysis for non-conformances and collaborate on corrective action plans.
  • Conduct internal and external quality audits to identify areas for process enhancement.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of inspection results, test reports, and compliance records.
  • Support manufacturing teams by providing guidance on quality control procedures and standards.

Requirements

CWI Certification a Plus

  • Proven experience in steel manufacturing or related industrial environments with a focus on quality assurance or control.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, HACCP, CGMP, and FDA regulations.
  • Proficiency in using measurement instruments including calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and vision inspection systems.
  • Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret data accurately for decision-making.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and QA/QC processes within manufacturing settings.
  • Experience conducting quality audits and implementing corrective actions.
  • Excellent attention to detail combined with effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments to uphold strict quality standards. This role is integral to ensuring that our steel products meet rigorous safety, durability, and regulatory standards.
