Job description
Perform Windows 11 (LTS, Pro, Enterprise) upgrades, installations, configurations, and troubleshooting. Build and configure Windows 11 systems manually (non-automated imaging/builds). Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware, peripherals, laboratory instruments, and associated software. Support hardware replacements, upgrades, and post-upgrade configuration validation. Utilize SCCM to deploy packages, investigate deployment issues, and support imaging activities. Coordinate directly with researchers, vendors, and business users to complete upgrade activities. Create, update, and manage incidents, requests, and documentation in ServiceNow and Jira. Perform room-by-room IT asset inventories using inventory scanners or RFID tools. Maintain accurate asset records and reconcile inventory discrepancies. Produce inventory status reports and collaborate with IT and Facilities teams. Troubleshoot Windows operating systems, drivers, printers, scanners, cameras, and other peripherals. Document technical procedures, resolutions, and knowledge articles.
Requirements
We are seeking an experienced Windows Systems Support Technician/Engineer to support enterprise Windows 11 Upgrade and IT Asset Management projects in a complex technical environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Windows 11 deployment, imaging, hardware configuration, troubleshooting, SCCM, ServiceNow, and Jira, along with the ability to work independently with end users, researchers, vendors, and IT teams., 5+ years of Windows Systems Support/Desktop Support experience. Strong hands-on experience with Windows 11 (LTS, Pro, Enterprise). Experience with Windows upgrades, imaging, deployment, and troubleshooting. Expertise in hardware installation, configuration, and peripheral support. Experience with SCCM for software deployment and imaging. Working knowledge of ServiceNow and Jira. Experience with IT asset management and inventory tracking. Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and customer support skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced onsite environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting laboratory instruments and scientific software. Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred. Experience with RFID or inventory scanning tools. High School Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
