Job description

Kforce has a client that is seeking a remote Staff Java Developers to join their team., * Building configuration management endpoints and caching layers to support the task type migration between mobile and web platforms

  • Implementing context query filtering and optimization against Elasticsearch
  • Contributing to Google Cloud Platform migration (Terraform, Kubernetes manifests, multi-region validation)
  • Adding resilience patterns (bulkheads, circuit breakers) to protect backend infrastructure
  • Supporting React/Node.js feature development and web performance improvements

REQUIREMENTS: Technical Skill Requirements: Backend:

  • Java/Spring Boot 3 with Gradle
  • Elasticsearch - query design, aggregations, index operations, performance tuning
  • REST API development with caching and fail-open resilience patterns
  • Resilience patterns
  • JUnit - unit and integration testing
  • Performance optimization

Infrastructure & DevOps:

  • Google Cloud Platform - GKE, Pub/Sub, Terraform, Kubernetes (CDK8s)
  • Cloud Foundry (PCF) deployment
  • GitHub Actions CI/CD
  • JFrog Artifactory

Observability:

  • PrometheGrafana/Micrometer metrics instrumentation
  • Structured logging and alerting

Requirements

We are looking to bring on full-stack software engineers for a specific engineering team. They will primarily support an initiative - a phased migration of task types across our mobile and backend systems - and may also contribute to other various mobile apps, depending on sprint priorities. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across both Java backend services and React/Node.js frontend applications, with the ability to ramp quickly on active codebases with established patterns.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
