Job description

This role leads and supports Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) initiatives focused on improving quality, reducing defects, and strengthening Built-In Quality (BIQ) practices across product and technology teams. The position is responsible for managing CPI projects end to end, maintaining CPI governance and data integrity, and enabling consistent application of quality methodologies throughout the organization. This role works closely with system engineers, sponsors, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive sustainable quality improvements and timely execution of corrective actions., * Lead CPI projects from intake through closure, ensuring clear problem definition, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and sustained controls

  • Apply Lean Six Sigma (DMAIC) tools to reduce defects, cycle time, and process waste
  • Coordinate and drive timely execution of CPI actions with sponsors, system engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Own assigned CPI issues and manage CPI records through their full lifecycle (activation, updates, closure)
  • Ensure CPI data accuracy, including status, target dates, sponsor alignment, and governance compliance
  • Participate in CPI governance, quality council, and process quality meetings, preparing materials and tracking actions
  • Champion Built-In Quality (BIQ) practices across product and technology teams
  • Support consistent application of issue risk definitions, quality gates, and NPI quality requirements
  • Identify recurring quality issues, escalate systemic risks, and recommend sustainable solutions
  • Provide guidance and coaching on quality best practices and BIQ methodology

Requirements

  • 8 years of relevant experience required
  • 5 years may be considered with a Master’s degree
  • Internship experience is not accepted as qualifying experience, + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred
  • Comparable Backgrounds:
  • CPI Black Belt
  • Six Sigma-focused quality or continuous improvement roles

Skills Required Top Skills

  • Project management with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and drive actions to completion
  • Strong understanding of quality processes, CPI governance, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to lead meetings and present status updates
