Job description
We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Business Support Officer to provide comprehensive operational and administrative support across the organisation. This is a broad and varied role that sits at the heart of the business - you will be the person colleagues turn to when they need something done properly, and the person leadership relies on to keep day-to-day operations on track., * Providing high-quality administrative and operational support to senior leadership and wider teams across the organisation
- Managing diaries, scheduling meetings, coordinating travel arrangements and preparing meeting materials
- Drafting, formatting and distributing correspondence, reports, presentations and other business documents to a high standard
- Maintaining accurate records, databases and filing systems, ensuring information is always up to date and easily accessible
- Supporting the coordination and delivery of internal projects, tracking actions and following up with stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met
- Acting as a first point of contact for internal and external enquiries, handling them professionally and directing them to the appropriate person
- Supporting procurement and supplier management processes, including raising purchase orders and processing invoices
- Assisting with the planning and logistics of internal events, team meetings and away days
- Identifying opportunities to improve administrative processes and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement
- Providing cover and support across the wider business support function as required
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a proactive, dependable and highly capable Business Support Officer who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can be trusted to manage their own workload with minimal supervision. You will be someone who anticipates needs before they arise, communicates clearly and professionally at all levels, and takes genuine ownership of everything they are responsible for.
Requirements

If you are someone who takes pride in being the person that keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes, this is the role for you., * Proven experience in a business support, executive assistant, office manager or senior administrator role - ideally three or more years
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and confident manner
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Experience supporting senior stakeholders and handling sensitive or confidential information with discretion
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Experience working in a growing SME or dynamic business environment is a strong advantage
Benefits & conditions
- Salary of £34,000 - £38,000 per annum, depending on experience
