Job description
As a Sr. Systems/Network Engineer, you have ultimate accountability for issue resolution:
- If an issue is passed up to you that you donāt know how to resolve, you figure it out whatever it takes.
- If there is a high-impact issue that needs to be resolved within a certain time frame (e.g. the next morning), you take care of the issue within that time frame (e.g. working late until you fix it).
- There isnāt an option to say āI give upā on an issue.
Requirements
The Sr. Systems/Network Engineer will design, deploy, and manage client network infrastructure. This includes but is not limited to Windows servers/VMs, network controllers, managed switches, APs, PBX, firewalls, content filters, surveillance cameras / NVRs, door access control systems, and intercom systems. The Sr. Systems/Network Engineer will also support and troubleshoot escalated issues that our on-site support technicians may encounter, which includes complex desktop support issues. Given our breadth of clients, you must be able to quickly gain familiarity with managing and configuring network equipment from multiple manufacturers. You must have the ability to resolve problems efficiently on your own with little to no supervision. The Sr. Systems/Network Engineer needs the ability to communicate clearly with employees and clients who have varying levels of technical knowledge. Customer service skills are a must., At least 7 years of IT / troubleshooting experience
Ability to setup and manage Windows Server DC, GPOs, DNS, DHCP
Solid background in network management, VLAN, Subnetting, Routing
Knowledge and experience in virtualization technologies, preferably Microsoft Hyper-V.
Understanding of Firewall NAT and Traffic rules.
Extensive MacOS and Windows experience
Significant general IT support experience
Able to efficiently prioritize and work on multiple simultaneous projects and day-to-day tasks
Strong, Advanced Troubleshooting Skills (Ability to work through issues methodically and independently)
Exceptional customer service skills
Unyielding integrity
Strong communication skills
Desire to continually learn
Ability/willingness to travel frequently to client locations throughout Utah
Ability/willingness to travel occasionally to out-of-state client locations
Ability to be in the office from 8am-5pm M-F.

WiFi Design and Management Experience
GSuite Administration Experience
VoIP Support & Management Experience
Experience with Ruckus, ICX/Brocade, Aruba, Sophos, and/or Fortinet solutions
Experience installing and configuring content filtering appliances
Bachelorās degree in Information Technology, information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar discipline or equivalent experience., * IT: 7 years (Preferred)
