Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive IT Technician to join our technology support team.   • Troubleshoot software problems across operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux, utilizing tools like SCCM, GPO, and ServiceNow for efficient management
  • Manage computer hardware components such as desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals to ensure optimal performance
  • Maintain and support computer networks including LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), DNS (Domain Name System), and firewall configurations like Meraki
  • Administer user accounts and permissions using Active Directory, Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), and other identity management tools
  • Monitor and support IT infrastructure components such as Windows Server environments, Linux servers, TCP/IP protocols, DNS settings, and network security measures
  • Assist in deploying software updates and patches via SCCM or equivalent tools while ensuring compliance with organizational standards
  • Support help desk operations using BMC Remedy or ServiceNow platforms by logging incidents, tracking resolutions, and communicating effectively with users
  • Conduct analysis of system logs and network traffic to identify potential issues or security threats; implement preventative measures accordingly
  • Collaborate with team members on network administration tasks including VLAN setup, TCP/UDP configurations, and troubleshooting connectivity issues

Requirements

Do you have experience in macOS administration?, * Proven experience in providing IT support with a strong focus on desktop support and troubleshooting across multiple operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)

  • Solid understanding of computer networking concepts such as TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, LAN/WAN setup, VPNs, firewalls (including Meraki), and network security best practices
  • Familiarity with enterprise management tools like SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), GPO (Group Policy Objects), Active Directory, ServiceNow or Jira for ticketing and incident management
  • Knowledge of computer hardware components including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers and peripherals; ability to diagnose hardware failures effectively
  • Experience supporting IT infrastructure including Windows Server environments and Linux servers; understanding of DNS configuration and network administration fundamentals
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach; capable of translating technical concepts into clear guidance for users of varying technical backgrounds
  • Ability to analyze system logs using tools like BMC Remedy or similar platforms to identify root causes of issues
  • Certification in relevant areas such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) or Cisco CCNA is preferred but not mandatory
