Job description

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join a high-performing Digital Engineering team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise web applications that support thousands of employees and customers.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on mission-critical applications that power customer self-service, outage management, engineering operations, supplier engagement, work management, enterprise content management, and numerous other business systems. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to build secure, scalable, high-performing solutions while contributing to a large-scale digital transformation initiative.

Build scalable full-stack solutions using modern software development practices.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Develop secure RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party systems.
Create responsive, user-friendly web applications.
Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Develop and execute unit tests to ensure software quality.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Business Analysts, QA, and other developers.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and code reviews.
Research emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
Support CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
Follow secure coding standards and software development best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field OR equivalent professional software development experience.
Experience developing enterprise web applications.
Strong experience with Java development.
Experience with:
Java
JSP
Servlets
JDBC
HTML
CSS
JavaScript
JSON
Experience with one or more modern JavaScript frameworks:
React
Angular
Vue.js
React Native
Experience building RESTful APIs and SOAP Web Services.
Strong object-oriented programming (OOP) experience.
Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or DB2.
Strong SQL and database optimization skills.
Experience with GitHub (branching, merging, version control).
Experience writing unit tests.
Understanding of APIs, software architecture, and modern development practices.
Experience working in Agile environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
