Job description
We are seeking a CMMS Technical Writer & Reporting Analyst to support the development of maintenance programs, procedures, and reporting solutions for a large-scale critical infrastructure environment. This individual will be responsible for creating technical documentation, developing preventive maintenance content, managing CMMS data, and delivering dashboards and reporting that support operational readiness and maintenance performance., * Create, edit, and maintain maintenance procedures, SOPs, job plans, task lists, and preventive maintenance documentation.
- Translate engineering and operational requirements into clear, user-friendly work instructions.
- Support CMMS implementation and maintenance activities, including asset hierarchies, equipment data, PM templates, and work management processes.
- Review maintenance manuals, engineering documentation, OEM recommendations, and operational standards to develop maintenance content.
- Build and maintain reporting dashboards that track maintenance, asset, and operational KPIs.
- Analyze CMMS data and generate recurring reports for leadership and stakeholders.
- Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, Engineering, and Commissioning teams to ensure documentation accuracy and completeness.
- Support document control processes, revision tracking, approvals, and change management activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting visibility, and maintenance program effectiveness.
- Assist with readiness initiatives, maintenance program deployment, and operational turnover activities.
Requirements
The ideal candidate combines strong technical writing skills with experience working in CMMS/EAM platforms and developing operational dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
Must-Haves
CMMS/EAM experience (Maximo, SAP PM, Infor EAM, Fiix, eMaint, etc.)
Technical writing experience (procedures, SOPs, work instructions, PMs)
Dashboard/reporting experience (Power BI, Tableau, Excel)
Ability to work directly with engineers, technicians, and operations teams
Experience supporting maintenance programs, asset management, or operational readiness initiatives, * 5+ years of experience in technical writing, maintenance planning, CMMS administration, asset management, reliability engineering, or related fields.
- Experience developing technical documentation, SOPs, procedures, work instructions, or maintenance programs.
- Hands-on experience with CMMS/EAM platforms such as Maximo, SAP PM, Infor EAM, eMaint, Fiix, Maintenance Connection, or similar systems.
- Experience creating dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or comparable reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and data management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, technicians, operations teams, and leadership stakeholders., * Experience supporting data centers, mission-critical environments, manufacturing facilities, utilities, industrial operations, or large-scale infrastructure programs.
- CMMS implementation or optimization experience.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), or asset management practices.
- Experience with asset hierarchy development, equipment criticality assessments, and maintenance KPI reporting.
- Familiarity with operational readiness, commissioning, or facility startup programs.
