Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer / Technical Lead to support and enhance its enterprise ServiceNow platform. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical professional who can translate business requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions while driving platform stability, automation, integrations, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will work closely with product management, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to develop and maintain mission-critical ServiceNow applications, with a strong focus on Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC/IRM) solutions. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow solutions and applications.
  • Translate complex business requirements into technical designs and scalable platform solutions.
  • Configure and customize ServiceNow components, including tables, workflows, business rules, UI policies, forms, and security roles.
  • Develop integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise systems using REST APIs and existing ServiceNow integration frameworks.
  • Support implementation of AI-enabled capabilities and automation across the platform.
  • Design and maintain dashboards, reports, workspaces, service portals, and data visualizations.
  • Participate in platform upgrades, patch testing, regression testing, and release management activities.
  • Develop and maintain Automated Test Framework (ATF) scripts and testing processes.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis to ensure platform reliability.
  • Manage change requests and deployment activities through JIRA and ServiceNow best practices.
  • Create technical documentation and provide training and support to end users and stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and platform optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 4+ years of software development or IT experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
  • Experience with ServiceNow IRM/GRC applications.
  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform configuration and customization.
  • Experience developing integrations using REST APIs and web services.
  • Proficiency with JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting.
  • Experience delivering large-scale ServiceNow projects from design through implementation.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and SDLC best practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and/or Certified Application Developer (CAD).
  • 8+ years of overall IT or software engineering experience.
  • Experience with API development and enterprise integrations.
  • Experience implementing or evaluating AI-powered features within enterprise applications.
  • Experience supporting SaaS platforms such as NAVEX, Regology, Icertis, or iManage.
  • Experience using JIRA, Confluence, and other Agile collaboration tools.
