Job description

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance data models, dashboards, and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and reporting/dashboarding tools to visualize key metrics effectively.
  • Design and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure accurate data integration from multiple sources, including SQL databases, Oracle, Talend, and other data warehouses.
  • Analyze large datasets utilizing SQL, R, Python, Excel data analysis techniques, and data analytics tools to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements through analysis skills and requirements analysis sessions; translate these into technical specifications for dashboards or reports.
  • Support the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) by participating in planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of analytics solutions within Agile frameworks.
  • Conduct database design and query management to optimize data retrieval efficiency across SQL Server, Oracle databases, and linked data sources.
  • Document processes using Visio or similar tools; contribute to technical documentation for ongoing maintenance and future enhancements.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing SQL databases; experience with query optimization is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of business intelligence platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker; experience developing dashboards from scratch is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools like Talend or similar; familiarity with Bash (Unix shell scripting) is a plus.
  • Technical proficiency in R and Python for advanced data analysis and statistical modeling.
  • Understanding of database design principles and experience working with SQL Server or Oracle databases.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle analysis (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and project management practices related to analytics projects.
  • Ability to visualize complex data insights clearly through dashboards and reports using reporting tools like VBA or Excel data analysis features.
  • Familiarity with linked data concepts and business analysis techniques to support strategic decision-making.
  • Experience with dashboard development, report automation, and query management to streamline reporting workflows.
