Job description

We are looking for an experienced Data Governance Consultant to support enterprise data management initiatives within a telecom environment. You will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, metadata management, data lineage, compliance, and governance across the Google Cloud ecosystem., * Design and implement enterprise Data Governance frameworks and operating models.

Define and monitor data quality standards, controls, and governance processes.
Implement metadata management, business glossary, and data catalog capabilities.
Establish end-to-end data lineage and impact analysis across enterprise data platforms.
Define and implement data contracts, governance policies, and stewardship processes.
Configure policy tagging, data classification, and compliance controls.
Drive adoption of governance practices using Google Cloud Dataplex and Atlan Data Catalog.
Collaborate with business, engineering, architecture, and compliance teams to ensure regulatory and security compliance.
Support enterprise data management and digital transformation initiatives.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in Data Governance or Enterprise Data Management.
Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Dataplex and Atlan Data Catalog.
Strong expertise in:
Data Governance Frameworks
Metadata Management
Data Lineage & Impact Analysis
Data Contracts
Data Quality Management
Policy Tagging & Data Classification
Data Stewardship
Regulatory Compliance & Governance Controls
Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Preferred Skills

DCAM (Data Management Capability Assessment Model) Certification.
DAMA CDMP Certification.
Experience with Collibra or other enterprise data governance/catalog platforms.
Knowledge of governance operating model design and enterprise knowledge catalogs.
Experience in telecom or other large-scale enterprise environments.
Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and analytics ecosystems.
