Design Engineer

As a Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of bespoke engineering products and projects from concept through to manufacture.Key responsibilities will include:

• Producing detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
• Developing innovative design solutions to meet customer and project requirements.
• Supporting projects from initial concept through design, testing and production.
• Liaising with manufacturing, procurement and project teams to ensure designs are efficient and cost-effective.
• Undertaking design modifications and continuous improvement activities.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant engineering standards and specifications.
• Providing technical support throughout the manufacturing and installation processes.

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience using SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and Design for Manufacture principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
