Job description
- A Senior AVEVA PI Administrator to support and enhance the PI Data Historian infrastructure for Electric and Gas Control Center operations.
- This role is responsible for the architecture, administration, integration, support, and continuous improvement of a large-scale enterprise PI environment supporting critical operational systems.
- Deep experience with AVEVA/OSIsoft PI System technologies, high-availability infrastructure, operational technology integrations, and enterprise analytics solutions.
- Strong technical leadership, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a highly available 24x7 operational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Creation/modification and maintenance of Enterprise PI system with 1.5M PI tags and more:
- Implementing PI Data Archive HA & DR
- Implementing PI AF HA & DR
- Implementing PI Vision HA & DR
- PI AF Element templates and AF Elements
- PI based dashboards (PI Vision/Process Book)
- PI AF Analytics, PI Notifications and PI Event Frames
- PI Interfaces: PI API, OPC DA/UA, RDBMS, PI to PI, PI DNP3
- PI integrator for business analytics (PII4BA)
- Design, develop and commission PI Dashboards, BI reports and bespoke applications using Aveva/OSIsoft PI System Access technologies such as PI SDK, AF SDK, PI OLEDB, PowerShell, etc.
- Ensuring high availability of all PI infrastructure that supports enterprise Systems
- Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure, identify root cause issues, and a mindset for physical and cyber safety.
- Integrating enterprise business systems with Aveva/OSIsoft PI software.
- support, maintenance, architecture, and development of PI Data Historian infrastructure supporting Distribution Electric, Gas and Steam Control Centers.
- configuration, coding, and testing related to PI Data Historian including but not limited to:
- managing technical aspects of assigned projects, including planning, and resolving application issues.
- Respond to system alerts 24x7x365 on a scheduled basis to resolve issues and ensure application availability.
- Design and develop code for Control Center applications as required.
- Responsible for ensuring the continuous availability of the OSI PI Historian for Distribution Electric, Gas and Steam Control Centers by implementing system enhancement, monitoring server status, and responding to alerts.
- Periodically review and update procedures and Disaster Recovery documents related to the PI Historian infrastructure, and other associated systems such as OMS and SCADA.
- Good knowledge of ITIL processes and experience in support activities.
- Knowledge of ITIL tools like ServiceNow
- Communicate effectively with sponsors, stakeholders and team members.
- Reports on project status, issues, key activities and any changes to the charter of the overall project. Identifies and communicates resource conflicts.

- PI System Infrastructure and Developer Accreditation from Aveva/OSIsoft
- Strong written and verbal communication skill
