Job description

Insight Global is seeking a Systems Engineer to sit at the Pentagon. This individual will join a highly visible engineering team supporting mission-critical infrastructure modernization efforts within a secure environment. The engineer will play a key role in large-scale virtualization initiatives, server deployments, disaster recovery planning, and enterprise infrastructure improvements. The ideal candidate will have deep VMware expertise, strong Windows Server administration skills, and experience executing Hyper-V to VMware migrations. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on infrastructure engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, driving projects independently, and supporting technology that directly impacts critical national-level operations.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI clearance Security+ (DoD 8570/IAT Level II) Strong VMware/vSphere administration and engineering experience Experience migrating virtual machines from Hyper-V to Vmware Linux administration experience (Red Hat/CentOS) Dell server deployment and administration experience Hands-on server build, deployment, and configuration experience Infrastructure engineering experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

PowerShell scripting and automation Disaster recovery planning and implementation Fault tolerance and high-availability architecture experience VMware/vSphere certifications Dell certifications Network+ Linux+

Benefits & conditions

$45/hr to $55/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
