Job description

We are seeking a highly collaborative and customer-focused Functional Microsoft Dynamics GP Analyst to join our Business Systems team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys partnering with business users, understanding their challenges, and translating business needs into practical technology solutions., * Serve as the primary functional expert for Microsoft Dynamics GP.

  • Partner with Finance, Procurement, Payroll, and Accounting teams to understand business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Build strong relationships with end users by providing exceptional customer service and ongoing application support.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for system enhancements, process improvements, and new initiatives.
  • Act as the liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring requirements are clearly communicated and delivered as expected.
  • Configure and support Microsoft Dynamics GP modules while maintaining system integrity and best practices.
  • Coordinate functional testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and validation of new enhancements.
  • Develop training materials and deliver end-user training as new functionality is introduced.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and work collaboratively with technical teams to resolve problems.
  • Recommend process improvements that increase efficiency while minimizing disruption to existing business operations.
  • Support upgrades, implementations, integrations, and ongoing ERP optimization projects.
  • Assist with reporting and data analysis using SmartList, SSRS, SQL queries, or other reporting tools.
  • Work closely with third-party vendors supporting integrated applications.

Functional Expertise

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP, including:

  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Fixed Assets
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Purchasing / Procurement
  • Payroll
  • Financial Management
  • Sales Order Processing (preferred)
  • Inventory Management (preferred)

Experience supporting integrated applications such as: (Nice to have)

  • DocLink
  • Liaison
  • SmartConnect
  • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • SmartLists
  • Microsoft SQL Server

Requirements

The successful candidate will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical resources, ensuring that business requirements are clearly defined, communicated, tested, and successfully implemented. Beyond strong Microsoft Dynamics GP functional expertise, we are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a service-first mindset who enjoys building relationships and helping users succeed., * 5+ years of functional Microsoft Dynamics GP experience.

  • Strong understanding of accounting, finance, procurement, and payroll business processes.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional specifications.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, and enhancement projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience writing SQL queries for reporting and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with SSRS and SmartLists.
  • Knowledge of workflow automation and document management solutions.
