Data drives decisions, and this Outstanding secondary school is looking for an experienced professional to lead that function. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Data & MIS Manager to join a high-performing secondary school in Barnet on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2026.
Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you’ll oversee the school’s data systems, ensuring accurate reporting, statutory compliance and the effective use of data to support school improvement. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced MIS professional looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and forward-thinking school.
As Data & MIS Manager, you’ll be responsible for the school’s management information systems and reporting functions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and developing the school’s MIS (Arbor, Bromcom or SIMS)
- Producing attendance, assessment and performance reports for senior leaders
- Leading statutory returns, including the School Census
- Ensuring pupil and staff data is accurate, secure and GDPR compliant
- Supporting assessment and reporting cycles across the school
- Training and supporting staff in the effective use of MIS systems
- Identifying opportunities to improve data processes and reporting efficiency

Requirements
The school is looking for a highly organised and analytical professional with previous experience managing school data systems.
You’ll have excellent attention to detail, strong Excel skills and experience using a school MIS. The ability to interpret data, meet deadlines and communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels is essential.
