Senior Software Engineer - Content Team

OpenTable is looking for an exceptional, impact-driven Senior Full Stack Engineer with emphasis on frontend to join our Content team. As OpenTable expands to new markets and aspires to be THE destination for restaurant discovery, photos and editorial content will be an increasingly important area for our business. We’re looking for a self-starter who can push things forward with a tight-knit, full stack team and help us deliver an exceptional content experience that ultimately inspires confident booking decisions. The role is for someone who wants to build great web applications, working closely with product to define and shape what is possible as well as working closely with backend teams to deliver products. Our technology contains JavaScript, React, Node.js and related web technologies on the frontend and .net Core, Clojure and Java on the backend. The team is cross-functional and co-located with product and delivery management. Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain web applications to support the content lifecycle within OpenTable including uploading, ingestion, moderation, metadata assignment, and distribution.
• Build monitoring and reporting tools to enable quick insight into the operations of the system.
• Help design and launch AB tests to continually improve the product and iterate quickly with ad hoc technical solutions.
• Provide guidance to clients of the API’s and work in partnership with web, mobile and backend teams.
• Rapidly diagnose and mitigate issues with the production systems.

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience building large-scale web products, and designing and implementing sophisticated web applications.
• Strong experience with front end web technologies (React, Redux, Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Some experience with back end technologies (.net Core, Java, Node.js, Postgres & Mongo)
• Ability to work with other backend systems and teams to eliminate friction.
• Ability to find and solve problems quickly and communicate solutions easily.
• Familiar with continuous integration, deployment tools, and container technologies
• An interest in moving into a full stack role.
