Experteer Overview In this role, you will help build and refine the vehicle localization stack to provide safe, high-precision positioning for Aurora’s fleet. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to solve core estimation challenges that affect safety and efficiency. The role offers the chance to tackle complex state estimation problems at scale and contribute to a mission-driven, safety-focused culture. This is an opportunity to shape how autonomous mobility delivers reliable, real-world performance. Compensation / Benefits * Design, implement, and maintain pose estimation solutions for vehicles and assets * Rigorously test and validate localization to ensure safety and efficiency * Collaborate with partner teams and engineers to solve high-priority problems for Aurora products Tasks * 5+ years of industry software development in production environments * Proficient in C++ and Python with modern practices * Graduate level degree in CS/Robotics/EE * Deep knowledge of state estimation theory (sensor fusion, Kalman filtering, nonlinear estimation, SLAM) * Experience with estimation and modeling using sensor data (LiDAR, IMU, radar, camera) * Strong mathematics foundations (spatial transforms, linear algebra, probabilistic estimation) Key requirements * base salary range: $162,000 - $260,000 per year * annual bonus * equity compensation * benefits * hybrid work environment (in-office at least 3 days/week)
