Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will advance perception systems for autonomous driving by developing robust ML models and deploying them on real-time vehicle platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to address challenging perception tasks and ensure safe, scalable solutions. You will transform research into production-ready software and refine systems through on-road and simulation testing. This opportunity lets you influence the safety and performance of the Aurora Driver while collaborating on high-impact autonomy challenges. You will join a mission-driven, safety-focused environment that values cross-functional collaboration and technical excellence. Compensation / Benefits * Develop and optimize core perception solutions using state-of-the-art ML techniques * Address end-to-end autonomy challenges including object detection, tracking, action recognition, and semantic understanding * Deploy production-ready software on a real-time autonomous vehicle platform leveraging large-scale datasets * Collaborate with teammates to diagnose and resolve failure modes from on-road and simulation testing * Scale ML engineering pipelines to enable rapid experimentation and large-scale training/testing Tasks * BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or related field with strong ML focus (deep learning, CV, state estimation, optimization) * 6+ years of research-based or professional experience with C++ and Python * Solid foundation in linear algebra, optimization, and ML methods (supervised/unsupervised, generative/discriminative) * Strong publication record or significant industry experience in robotics/computer vision/self-driving tech Key requirements * annual bonus * equity compensation * benefits * hybrid work environment * in-office at least 3 days per week
