Network Engineer

The Network Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining the stability, performance, and security of Ardent’s network infrastructure. This individual will be responsible for working outages, deploying new network hardware, and troubleshooting complex network problems., * Utilizes network monitoring tools to proactively identify and address potential performance bottlenecks, security risks, and network outages

• Responds promptly to network incidents and outages, conducting thorough investigations to identifies root causes and implement effective solutions
• Collaborates with other IT teams to resolve issues that span multiple infrastructure components
• Maintains accurate network diagrams, configurations, and documentation
• Troubleshoots LAN and WAN service issues on Cisco, Meraki, and Fortinet platforms
• Configures switching platforms, Cisco 3750x, 9200 and 9300, Cisco Nexus, Fortiswitch
• Configuration of routing platforms, Cisco ASR and ISR, Fortigate, Meraki
• Installation of network hardware
• Activation of leased WAN circuits
• Participates in daily team meetings and various project meetings
• Creates and reviews change scripts
• Works with security team to mitigate active threats

• Associates’ degree in Information Systems / Computer Science or equivalent technical training.
• Active CCNA.
• 5+ years of experience working in Information Systems, preferably in the healthcare industry.
• 3+ years of hands on net
