Director, Software Engineering - Enterprise Infrastructure

Experteer Overview In this role you lead LinkedIn’s enterprise infrastructure strategy and delivery, spanning network, compute, storage, and Azure. You’ll own the end-to-end portfolio for global infrastructure, including CI/CD platforms and enterprise data pipelines, aligning reliability, security, velocity, and cost. You will drive AI-enabled automation, partner with InfoSec, and scale governance and Zero Trust initiatives. You’ll mentor senior leaders, shape multi-vendor collaborations, and steer investments to meet platform health and business outcomes. Compensation / Benefits * Define a multi-year infrastructure vision across network, compute, storage, and Azure * Own service reliability for global network, routing, firewall telemetry, and identity pathways * Drive AI transformation and automation to boost developer velocity and ops rigor * Partner with InfoSec to harden posture and roll out compliant controls * Lead Azure governance for tenants, subscriptions, and shared services with cost governance * Drive Zero Trust initiatives for remote and enterprise access with cross-functional coordination * Oversee infrastructure migrations with predictable delivery and minimal user impact * Provide direction for internal CI/CD platforms supporting enterprise apps * Lead strategy and delivery of corporate endpoint platforms and device management * Scale org effectiveness and maintain strong on-call and runbooks practices * Manage multi-vendor ecosystems and align investments with roadmaps and outcomes * Set annual goals/OKRs tied to platform health, compliance, and TCO * Hire, coach, and grow diverse leadership across Sr. Managers, Managers, and Staff+ ICs * Foster a culture of clarity, accountability, craftsmanship, and bias for action Tasks * BA./B.S.
