Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Senior Desktop Support Technician to join our team in Richmond, VA. This position provides critical on-site technical support for hardware, software, network systems, and user workstations., The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting modern Windows operating systems, performing PC and laptop refreshes, and remotely managing devices using enterprise tools like SCCM and Remote Desktop., * Provide end-to-end technical support for desktop hardware, laptops, peripherals, and network connections.

  • Perform software installations, system configurations, patch management, and troubleshooting across local and remote environments.
  • Execute laptop refreshes, deployment, and data migration.
  • Utilize enterprise management tools (e.g., SCCM, Dameware, Remote Desktop) to remotely connect to and support user workstations.
  • Troubleshoot system drivers, BIOS settings, and hardware components.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and technical support to end-users with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • Windows Administration: Strong experience supporting Windows 11 (or higher) and Microsoft 365 / MS Office applications (including Outlook).
  • Enterprise Tools: Demonstrated proficiency using SCCM/SMS and remote desktop connectivity tools for system deployment and remote support.
  • Hardware & Systems: Hands-on experience with PC/laptop hardware, peripheral setup, driver/BIOS configurations, and laptop refresh cycles.
  • Troubleshooting: Superior technical troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Work Arrangement: 100% on-site presence required from day one. (Note: Parking fees are the responsibility of the contractor).
  • Interview Process: Candidates must be willing to complete an initial virtual/web interview followed by a mandatory in-person interview prior to any offer being extended., * Strong working knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software, including drivers and bios (Required 6 Years)
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and team-working skills (Required 4 Years)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. (Required 4 Years)
  • Demonstrated ability to obtain feedback from customers to improve training methods. (Required 4 Years)
  • Running reports and analyzing common complaints and problems. (Required 4 Years)
  • An openness to learning new technologies. (Required 4 Years)
