Design Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you will own design and project coordination for 3D tool designs in the aerospace domain. You will collaborate with manufacturing teams to deliver efficient, high-quality tooling and assist with AS9100D requirements. You’ll translate customer needs into Catia V5 models and 2D prints, while driving material choices and supplier coordination. Compensation / Benefits * Review customer requirements to create 3D tool designs and tool prints in Catia V5 * Create and release 3D/2D data packages for manufacturing * Coordinate with manufacturing work teams on new project releases and resolve issues * Review and adjust customer tool designs for material optimization and efficiency * Select materials and subcontractors and manage purchase requisitions * Manage customer design review meetings, status updates, and correspondence * Assist the quality team with AS9100D document requirements and audit support Tasks * Mechanical design experience * Proficiency in Catia V5 * Aerospace experience, composites, ERP systems, and manufacturing exposure * Excellent print reading and mechanical visualization * Team-oriented work approach * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Plastics Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology or similar * Aptitude for 3D modeling and creative designs * Strong communication and problem-solving skills Key requirements * Medical, dental & vision * 401(k) Retirement Plan - company match * Life Insurance * Short and long-term disability * Health Spending Account (HSA) * Paid time off (PTO)
