Job description

As a Java Full Stack Technical Lead, you will make an impact by leading the design, development, and end-to-end delivery of scalable full-stack applications. You will be a valued member of the application development team and work collaboratively with client stakeholders, onsite and offshore teams, developers, and other project partners.

  • Associate must be willing for In-person interview in Fort Worth, TX. Associate must be willing to be Hybrid in Fort Worth, Texas 3 days a week.

In this role, you will:

Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of Java full-stack application features.

Own the end-to-end delivery of assigned user stories and features while meeting sprint commitments and quality expectations.

Provide hands-on technical leadership, guide team members through development challenges, and resolve technical issues affecting delivery.

Design application modules independently and contribute to solution architecture, technical standards, and development best practices.

Promote engineering excellence through unit testing, code reviews, continuous integration, continuous delivery, monitoring, and DevOps practices.

Requirements

At least 9 years of experience in Java application development, including experience delivering full-stack solutions and providing technical leadership.

Strong proficiency in Java, J2EE technologies, Spring Boot, and building enterprise applications.

Hands-on front-end development experience with Angular, HTML, CSS, responsive web design, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js, along with experience using Lit and/or react.

Experience with Maven or Gradle, Git, JUnit, Mockito, and continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.

Experience with GitHub, Azure DevOps, Docker, Amazon Corretto 17, and cloud or DevOps toolchains.

Experience using development, integration, testing, and observability tools such as IntelliJ IDEA, Visual Studio, Postman, SoapUI, LogDNA, Grafana, and Dynatrace.

Demonstrated ability to design application modules, own feature delivery from development through deployment, and resolve complex technical issues.

Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across client, onsite, and offshore teams.

Experience supporting applications through production deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

Note: Certain roles may require candidates to attend in-person interviews at Cognizant offices or client locations, depending on project requirements.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent

Benefits & conditions

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 to $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
