Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead the design and validation of automotive embedded hardware, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, compliant solutions. You’ll drive design reviews, DFx considerations, and EMC/thermal analyses to meet performance and cost targets. You’ll mentor a small hardware team and work with standard automotive processes to ensure on-time, quality delivery. This is a hands-on position with impact across product development and intellectual property initiatives. Compensation / Benefits * Analyze requirements and derive hardware design criteria using Codebeamer * Lead design, prototyping, and validation of electronic hardware per timing commitments * Maintain clear stakeholder communication to ensure needs are understood and design commitments are met * Participate in program core team meetings and present engineering deliverables * Develop hardware solutions compliant with IPC and regulatory standards * Apply WCCA, thermal, electrical, and EMC analyses to optimize designs * Document technical information and support IP and patent activities * Ensure DFX (DFM, DFA, DFC, DFT, DFR) alignment to meet quality, cost, and performance targets * Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a small hardware team * Create schematics and PCB layouts meeting FC, EMC, and manufacturability requirements * Maintain hardware component libraries for global reuse * Integrate LIN and CAN automotive buses into designs * Support APQP processes and align hardware deliverables with program milestones * Complete additional assignments to support engineering and program objectives Tasks * Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering * 5+ years in automotive embedded hardware design * Experience leading a small hardware team * Strong embedded hardware design experience for automotive applications * Hands-on schematic entry and PCB layout; Cadence experience is a plus * PCB/schematic design and EMC design proficiency * Experience with WCCA and simulations * Experience integrating LIN and CAN buses * Experience with OEM testing specs and automotive launch cycles * Experience maintaining hardware libraries and global reuse * Knowledge of APQP terminology and processes * Strong problem-solving and communication skills * Knowledge of ISO Functional Safety and ASPICE is a plus * Experience with Linux-based environments and embedded hardware workflows Key requirements * Medical, dental & vision * 401(k) Retirement Plan * Life Insurance * Short and long-term disability * Health Spending Account (HSA) * PTO / Vacation
