Experteer Overview In this role you will lead tooling engineering for aerospace applications, shaping design from concept to fabrication support. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure tooling meets cost, schedule, and quality objectives while aligning with program needs. You’ll apply stress analysis and manufacturability review to deliver robust tooling solutions. This is a hands-on, impact-focused position in the Northrop Grumman Space Sector that drives continuous improvement and high-precision fabrication. You’ll join a culture that values curiosity, collaboration, and delivering meaningful results in challenging programs. Compensation / Benefits * Interface with review team to ensure customer satisfaction with tooling design * Manage projects and coordinate procurements and fabrication to meet cost and schedule goals * Inspect fabricated tooling for design compliance * Collaborate with manufacturing to achieve program quality, delivery, and cost objectives * Concept tooling for new and existing programs and develop manufacturing processes * Collaborate with Tool Designers to produce final drawings * Perform stress analysis to verify mechanical soundness per NG requirements * Review drawings for manufacturability and support vendor during fabrication * Support continuous improvement and Operations/Process Engineering in tooling usage * Handle other duties as assigned Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 8 years of experience or Master’s with 6 years or PhD with 4 years * Proven ability to evaluate vendor/equipment capability for tooling and aerospace part production * Experience with closed-form and FE analysis; NX, ANSYS, ABAQUS preferred * NX modeling experience; FEA experience (Abaqus preferred) Key requirements * Total Rewards package * health insurance * life and disability insurance * savings plan * Company paid holidays * paid time off
