Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead day-to-day IT support operations for the U.S. Army at the Pentagon, ensuring secure, reliable IT services. You will oversee major technical projects and a mid-sized IT team, coordinating with government stakeholders to drive mission success. The position blends systems administration, engineering planning, and project execution in a high-visibility government environment. You will help shape and implement enterprise IT transitions and migrations within a DoD framework. Compensation / Benefits * Lead and provide technical direction to technicians and manage project execution in the ticketing system * Supervise teams through project completion and coordinate project-specific activities * Maintain uninterrupted operations via installation, maintenance, and repair of hardware/software according to industry standards * Diagnose and resolve complex hardware/software issues across applications, OS, hardware, and networks * Perform systems administration for desktop/server environments, including AD, security, and OS deployments * Administer Active Directory services, member servers, and storage; support enterprise transitions and migrations * Plan and assist with hardware/software design, development, testing, and integration * Conduct engineering research and design activities; perform analytical tasks for systems and facilities * Contribute to in-progress IT project reviews and maintain clear reporting with government leadership Tasks * Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 6+ years of relevant experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree * Active TS/SCI clearance in DISS * DoD 8570 (8140) IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) * Microsoft Server 2019 Administrator certification or newer (or ability to obtain) * Microsoft Azure/Microsoft 365 certification or ability to obtain * Advanced experience with Windows Server 2019+ administration * Experience leading small-to-medium IT projects * Experience with Microsoft Terminal Services, VMware vSphere/ESXi, and virtual desktop solutions * Patch management and system upgrades in classified environments; familiarity with ACAS, DHCP, DNS, HBSS, Hyper-V, SCCM, SharePoint, SQL, SMTP, Active Directory, VMware * Experience with ticketing tools (Microsoft System Center, ServiceNow) and DoD enterprise environments * PowerShell scripting capability * Ability to manage Windows server infrastructure across multiple solution areas Key requirements *
