Job description

Experteer Overview As a Senior Network Engineer at Peraton, you will support a secure, worldwide government network delivering real-time communications. You’ll contribute to design, deployment readiness, and production operations while driving modern engineering approaches to improve deployments and reduce costs. This role focuses on Tier III support, root-cause analysis, and long-term solutions within a mission-driven team. You’ll work to sustain high-performance, secure networks for critical operations in a 24/7 environment. Compensation / Benefits * Create/modify network drawings and author system engineering plans * Support design, test, and pre-deployment readiness reviews * Support the network operations of the Production system * Provide recommendations on modern engineering approaches to improve task-order deployments * Develop, implement, and manage network engineering processes (configuration management, design standards) * Perform capacity planning by monitoring network performance and availability * Research and evaluate tools/technologies to boost performance and reduce total cost of ownership Tasks * Active TS/SCI security clearance * Ability to work a 24/7 shift schedule (Panama) * Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field with 8 years of related experience or equivalent * Current/valid CCNA certification * DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II * Experience with design, implementation, and support of routing/switching for complex networks * Understanding of networking fundamentals and common services (DNS, FTP, SSH, SNMP) * Experience with BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPNs and emerging SDN concepts * Prior experience supporting a Government/DoD customer Key requirements * salary range: 135,000 - 216,000 * overtime eligibility * shift differential * discretionary bonus
