Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will assess and secure hardware and software across the system lifecycle, shaping cybersecurity posture for defense programs. You’ll lead vulnerability assessments, automation of security processes, and support security architecture and tool selection. Your work ensures designs translate into effective protections and verifiable security capabilities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive secure engineering practices and program readiness. Compensation / Benefits * Assess software and hardware for vulnerabilities and develop cybersecurity automation * Guide and support security layout/architecture and influence tool selection * Evaluate proposed and realized implementations to identify security risks and verify protections * Contribute to cybersecurity verification efforts to ensure protections are functional and complete * Perform system vulnerability scans using ACAS and STIGs and conduct manual STIG/SRG verifications * Develop artifacts for RMF packages (SSP, Continuous Monitoring Plan, RMF artifacts) * Participate in System Engineering lifecycle activities and T&R events (PDR, CDR, SRR, TRR) * Create and maintain artifacts for Air Force authorization decisions Tasks * Bachelor in STEM field with 5+ years of relevant military/professional experience, or Master in STEM with 3+ years, or PhD with 1+ year * Active US Government Secret or higher clearance (or eligibility for Continuous Evaluation) * Ability to obtain/maintain SAP clearance * Experience with cybersecurity vulnerability assessments and evaluations * Knowledge of NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, NSS/CSA PM 9-12, JSIG * Experience with system vulnerability scans and automated STIG tools Key requirements * health insurance coverage * life and disability insurance * savings plan * Company paid holidays * paid time off (PTO) * bonus potential
